What Do I Get?
According to the North Caroline Home Inspection Standards of Practice, a home inspection provides the client with a better understanding of the property conditions as inspected at the time of the home inspection. What else?
  • A full narrative report with digital color photos. You won't see satisfactory or unsatisfactory on our report. We explain what we find, why it's important and what should be done in everyday language.
  • An email version of the report by the end of the day of the inspection. We only do one inspection per day to devote as much time as needed to you.
  • Model and serial numbers of appliances and systems are not required by the NC Standards of Practice but we include them in the report for future reference. Your home inspection report may come in handy if you ever need service.
  • Even though we email the report to you and anyone else with your permission, we follow up with a hard copy via snail mail which includes maintenance advice and a CD which contains a copy of the report as well as all the pictures that were taken.
What parts of the house are inspected?
  • Structural System
  • Roof and Attic
  • Exterior Surfaces
  • Electrical System
  • Heating and Air Conditioning
  • Plumbing System
  • Basement and/or Crawlspace
  • Built-in Appliances
  • Interior Surfaces
  • Fireplace

With A Lady Home Inspection Service you get an unbiased view of the property. “Caring like it’s our house” isn’t just a fancy line, we mean it. We look at each property as if we are in your shoes. Defects will be found in any house and we report them but we also have the expertise to know if they are something to worry about or something to live with. You may have noticed something odd when looking at the house. If you have questions or concerns, please mention them. Nothing is too trivial. If you or your agent has access to the sellers’ disclosure statement, we would ask that you share it with us.

Peace of Mind - There are many decisions to be made in a real estate transaction and worrying about the inspection shouldn’t be one of them. The last thing we want to do is add more stress. We not only want to serve you by performing the best possible home inspection but treat you like family (we mean that in a good way). We don’t abandon you after the inspection. You can call us anytime with questions and we don’t charge extra for that. We want you to be satisfied enough to tell your friends and call us for your next move.

We encourage you to be at the inspection at least part of the time so we can show you what we find and to familiarize you with the house so you can better maintain it. We work for you and only you. Sometimes the seller or sellers’ agent want to be at the inspection. Rest assured that we protect your privacy. NC law prohibits us from disclosing any results to anyone but our client without permission.
